Screentime
Acrylic on Wood Panel, 16” x 20”
While this piece was initially created for me to further experiment with lighting, the end result was a contemplative work regarding our screen usage. It is fair to say that we all spend too much time on our devices. I hoped to relay this motif through the presence of the light–and therefore the phone–in the artwork.

Subway Tunes
Mixed Media on Paper, 11” x 14”
Created for the New York Times “Growing Up With AI” challenge, this piece of art shows the suffocation that AI has on the youth. Pictured, a teenager attempts to read or listen to music, however the glitched background surrounding them closes in. AI is all encompassing in the modern era and I hoped to portray that feeling in this piece.

An experimentation with block print, created as a tryptic. Exploring how overwhelming the world can be using high contrast imagery and hues. With loud disruption on either side of the subject who blocks the sounds out successfully.
